Summary
In mathematics, physics, and art, moiré patterns or moiré fringes are large-scale interference patterns that can be produced when an opaque ruled pattern with transparent gaps is overlaid on another similar pattern. Sometimes, Moire effect is created deliberately by design, in order to generate a motion illusion out of two particular still images.
The Moire illusion was employed in the “Valavanis metal” expo booth, as a “trick” to attract the eye of the transit visitors and lead them to know more about the company. As its first international appearance, the company wanted to let the public know about their history, their services, their facilities and, their commitment to using green energy sources to power their equipment. The moire effect animates a glowing sun and the rotating wind turbine to emphasize the use of solar and wind energy.
